Indeed, it’s hard to believe the advances in animation nowadays. Avatar for example is an amazing piece of 3D art, flawless in its nature. And PC games are pushing the edge too: FarCry, Crysis, etc. Soon, we won’t be able to distinguish virtual worlds from reality.

Future 3D animation will become a hot trend in animations.I’m a big fan of animations.In my point of view,3D may probably dominate the future animation,but we should not ignore the traditional animation created without 3D.
If the animation is good,no matter it uses 3D,it can be popular and welcomed by everyone.

Animation and illustration definitely has come a long way. And with the different softwares that you can use for sound and imagery, plus a touch of artistic hands, possibilities are endless. Images could even simulate reality! Artists are given more freedom to express their artistry and creativity. I salute those people who are working hard in making all these things possible!

Its site is very nice. They may have used 3d software for some of the 3d perspective/stages, though – not sure. But all the ‘real’ animation was hand drawn – frame by frame! Remember, this was 10 years ago. Flash certainly was not used.
